Bicycling in the Czech Republic, you’ll go through village after charming village.

Czech Republic boasts over 37,000 km of well mapped and signed cycling routes in a nation only slightly larger than West Virginia. Combine that with breathtaking architecture, bucolic countrysides, some of the finest beer and wines in Europe and the cosmopolitan bustle of Prague you have the makings of a bike tourist’s paradise.

During August 2012 we cycled the western part of the Czech Republic during our Destination Dubrovnic bike tour, starting in Prague through Česky Krumlov over a 5 day period. What we found was a lovely, affordable place to travel by bicycle albeit a little hilly in places.
